I don't know who I've told, but we have had a major life-change. We have gone TVless. Now, before you assume it was some super-spiritual venture, let me assure you it was simply cost-effective. We have nothing, not even a converter box. I think we are in the middle-ages. For me this was for sure a big change, but for Jeremy it was monumental. It is amazing how much time we spend watching TV. Now, don't get me wrong, we still watch movies, and follow all our shows on the internet. So we aren't that deprived. But I have found that out of it have come some really great things. We are more relaxed, more creative, more into each other, more excited about our kids school... just a bunch of things. Now, I AM NOT here advocating getting rid of TV by any means, just, I think for us, in our unique situation, it was good. Not great all the time, but overall good.

Charity and Jeremy, we have never watched TV regularly and have no cable. Our kids watched educational when they were little, and we watch a few sports now but nothing else for almost 31 years. I would never want it invading our lives. I am guessing you will like being without it more and more.

I'd love to give up cable but hubby refuses to go without that stupid fake news channel (fox). Grrrrr!

We have not had cable in seven years. But we do have Netflix so we can watch movies at our convenience :)

This winter was one of the worst and most depressing of my life and T V made even it more depressing. When you think about it TV is almost 2/3rds the show you want to watch and 1/3 rd commericals that come at you over and and over again that you can't stand to watch them. The news is probabaly one the most depressing things you can watch. If someone could come up with a feel good news channel with nothing but good news that would be the channel I would subscribe to.

Enough about that I you want to know that I check your website each day after my quiet time and you are in my prayers each day. Give my little girls kisses and hugs for me they are so sweet and dear to me.

I want you to put my nephew Todd Porter in your prayers he has 2 little girls that remind so much of yours any he is has this sickness that has made him unemployed for the last 2 years he is just fine but all of a sudden he will blackout and go into almost a comma and he cannot even be trusted to take care of his kids while his wife works to support them. Now for the real killer his wife Lynn has been dianosed with cancer and they have given her 6 months to live.

Hey Charity.

I'm thinking of cutting cable TV, for the economy reasons. I'll have to talk with you about that.

Charity,

I have been without one for several years now, and in my first year of marriage have seen how it's been really helpful...every night we end up talking and spending some time together. Now, like you, I'm not saying it's for everyone, but applaud your decision and hope you continue to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing.
